Are on VP Cheney’s wish list this holiday season. He’s fighting hard to have the CIA excluded from the new laws forbidding torture. I can’t believe that this is actually up for debate.
There are cries that we have to stand taller than our enemy, but not when the world’s not looking. We’ll bawl about the Geneva Convention when one of our own is tortured, but then turn around and do the same thing to someone else. Ah, the hypocrisy of the US Gov’t. Gotta love it. This is exactly why I’m neither Republican nor Christian. Both are ripe with stinking hypocritical shit. I’d rather do unto others as I would have do unto me.
