Televangelist Robertson warns town of God’s wrath - Yahoo! News

Ok, this is old news. But I just found it again (I forgot about it because I couldn’t get online in time to blog).

Televangelist Robertson warns town of God’s wrath - Yahoo! News

I give a big thumbs-up to the people of Dover, PA. They did what they’re supposed to do in a democracy, speak through the vote. Pat Robertson doesn’t like it? Well, that’s ok, because he didn’t get elected prez either. We all voted against God on that one…LOL.

I was talking with the mother about prayer in school. She who raised me to believe the way I do…grrr…Anyway, she said that if there was prayer in school then the country wouldn’t be as bad as it is now….HUH? I told her she’s nuts and that someone has been brainwashing her. I said if parents want their children to say Christian prayers in school then they should enroll them in the local Catholic school (ours takes anyone regardless of ability to pay).

I told her that not all children are Christian and that to make them sit out during a Christian prayer would be cruel because the other children would ostracize them (I said that before she could come at me with that tired “Well, they don’t have to participate” crap).

I don’t know what happened to the mother in this regard, but she is turning bad on me. She’s also trying to convince me to join a church so that I might make more friends (she knows damned well that I’m Pagan). I think they finally got to her. How sad.
