It’s no secret that I love “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”. I was watching it when it was “The Daily Show with Craig Kilborn” (even went on strike because I was sad when Craig left- strike is over). And now it’s the only television news program I watch- I don’t even watch the local news at 6 anymore. And Stephen Colbert was, obviously, my favorite correspondent. Samantha Bee was taking up second, but has since been bumped up.
Anyway, I’ve been watching “The Colbert Report” since it debuted. I love it. It’s way goofier than TDS, but that’s ok. Last night was a Daily Show rerun (Congrats to Jon and wife on their new baby), but Colbert was fresh. He had Barbara Boxer on last night, promoting her new book, and, of course, embarassed her to the point where she actually snatched his note card from him. It was hilarious!
Anyway, Stephen mentioned an article in “Newsday” that is about him and I had to read it. And I had to share it with anyone else that hadn’t read it. If you didn’t watch the show regularly, or if you’ve never seen TDS, then this article makes Stephen seem like a funny Bush-bot. He does seem to make fun of the left and everything liberal, but he’s ripping the Bush-bots a new one with a look at how they seem to the rest of us. Did that make any sense at all? I do love to watch that show and am seriously happy to see some good publicity.
