This is too funny. According to Media Matters, Limbaugh says there’s “a racial component” to Paul Hackett leaving the race. Really?
Maybe somebody in the party has figured this out. And don’t forget, Sherrod Brown is black. There’s a racial component here, too. And now, the newspaper that I’m reading all this from is The New York Times, and they, of course, don’t mention that. But — you know, “Democratic leaders say that Representative Sherrod Brown, a seven-term incumbent from Avon, has a far better chance of toppling Senator DeWine than does the — Hackett.”
Ha! What an idiot! See what happens when you stop taking those pills, Rush? Suddenly everybody with the name “Sherrod”/”Brown” is black. Guess that’s what happens when bigots make assumptions. Here’s what Media Matters had to say about that.
After accusing the New York Times of neglecting to report that “Sherrod Brown is black,” Limbaugh was later informed of his error. He said: “Sherrod Brown’s a white guy? Then, I’m confusing him with somebody. … Must be somebody in New York [who] has got a similar name.” Limbaugh may have been referring to Rep. Sherwood Boehlert (R-NY), who is also Caucasian.
Ah, I love it when the Bush-bots make complete fools of themselves. Don’t worry, though, Good ol’ Boy Rush ain’t apologizing to anyone.
I erred when I said that Sherrod Brown is black. I’m confusing him with somebody with a similar name in the Democratic Party somewhere. But we have — we have corrected this, and I, you know, I’m not gonna apologize, ’cause I don’t think it’s an insult to be black. But — but I did err. He is — his is — he is — he is not black. He’s one of these white European descendents in Ohio.
“One of these white European descendents”? What the hell does that mean? (By the way, I’m not offended– I’m laughing way too hard). This right after he was about to insinuate that either Paul Hackett was a racist or the Democratic Party was trying to push a white guy out of the primary (c’mon, you know where he was going with that). Is Rush Limbaugh suddenly trying to become PC? Give me a break.
Does anyone even take him seriously anymore? I can just imagine what his “fans” were thinking “Goddamned affirmative action gave us a free-bee”.
Please go see for yourself. It’s hilarious!
