Ken Blackwell plays dirty

This article certainly gave me a chuckly this evening (it was still evening when I started this…stupid FireFox).

In what Petro’s campaign labeled a “vile attack,” Blackwell unveiled ads that accuse Petro of demanding “campaign kickbacks” from outside lawyers that his office hires, prompting an “FBI probe.” And in a bid to tie Petro to scandals that have tainted the GOP and its leader, Gov. Bob Taft, the spots accuse Petro of having “ethics worse than Taft’s.”

Hee, hee, this is going to be really interesting. Perhaps Blackwell has never heard that old saying “Those in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.” Afterall, neither of these guys has clean hands. They are both firmly established in Ohio’s Corruption Club. I mean, really, do either of them really want all of their skeleton’s coming out of the closet?

It’s too bad I won’t get to see these ads. Mr.Blackwell is targeting them at a very specific audience.

Petro supporters contended that Blackwell has not purchased enough air time to register a significant impact with GOP voters. As of yesterday, it appeared that the Blackwell campaign bought only cable TV time on the Fox News Channel, with spots airing during The O’Reilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes in the Columbus, Cleveland, Dayton and Toledo markets.

Ohh, I love to watch a good implosion! I can’t wait to have another Democratic governor.
