Ever wonder, deep in your heart, what was on the minds of folks in Tuscarawas County Ohio? Well, luckily for you our local paper has a section called “30 Seconds”. This is for people to call the paper and leave a short message about an issue that concerns them. This saves them the embarassment of having the county know who they are (and they don’t need a stamp- T-R doesn’t accept emailed letters). By the way, Massillon Independent has something very similar, though I don’t remember what it’s called and don’t care to look it up.

The judicial system has to do something about the three boys throwing the eggs because if they don’t, think of the kind of message it is sending to our youth of this community.

Less than 20 years ago, Tuscarawas County had a serial killer, and he started out shooting dogs. Then he moved up to cows. Then he moved up to human beings.

I want to know what is going on down on W. High Ave. from Five Points on down. This is the third week they have one-way traffic. Can somebody tell us what is going on?

The traffic signal at Rts. 212 and 93 should have been installed years ago in Beach City. It is wonderful there have not been any fatalities there with it being the corner of the school grounds. The crossing guards surely have performed their duties well.
Just for good measure I’ll add yesterday’s too.
Yes, we have a beautiful park in Baltic, but keep it clean by taking plastic bags with you while walking your dogs. Trash bags are provided. Our children, also your pets, can contact parasites like hookworm and roundworm from dogs’ waste while playing on contaminated ground.

I just don’t get it with the heroin problem going on down there in Tuscarawas County. How many chances do you get if you’re a drug dealer?<br /><br />* * *<br /><br />In response to the comment about a vote by Carroll County commissioners last Thursday, the minutes show no such vote was taken. There had been a disagreement during discussion of the amount the sheriff had requested during a budget meeting when the media was not present. Approval for the increase in appropriation was given at the afternoon open session. The sheriff received a total of $1,257,000.

The governor of South Dakota has got to be blind to not issue exceptions for his new, wonderful abortion law for cases of rape or incest. Is he crazy?
