Imagine that the state can get a search warrant for your vagina.

Imagine that your own uterus could be used as evidence against you in a court of law (after it’s been removed to save your life).

Imagine that your ectopic pregnancy goes untreated until it bursts.

Imagine that your life means nothing if you’re pregnant and you could die because of it.

Imagine that you could go to prison for murder if you had a miscarriage and the state proved you caused it.

Imagine that your mother could go to prison for consoling you for the decision you had to make because your other 5 children you already have didn’t have enough to eat.

Imagine that you could be chained to your bed while in a coma, because the state thought you had an abortion.

Now, wake up. This is not a nightmare fantasy from some left-wing fanatic. This is real. This is happening in El Salvador. Since 1998 they have had a Constitutional amendment that prohibits and criminalizes abortion completely. There is no “life of the mother” clause. There is no “in the cases of rape and incest” clause. There is no “she’s too young to go through this” clause. It is complete and total, the life of the fetus takes precedence. The mother’s life means nothing.
