Not much to say today

I am really, really annoyed with Blogger right now.  It has been almost a week since I’ve been able to post over there.  I do believe I’m going to have bring GDM over here.  Or get another site for her.  Bastards.  At any rate, you’ll have to listen to me moan about North Korea soon if they don’t fix my shit.  I NEED TO GET INTO MY FIRST BABY-BLOG!!!  DON’T THEY KNOW THAT?

Yeah, I know I’m being way dramatic, but I don’t really give a flying monkey’s ass.  It’s been almost a week and they said it would be 24 hours.  I mean, shouldn’t Google be a little better at this “reviewing content” shit because, well, they’re Google?   What a pain in the ass.

X`tasy wanted to know if MIL can cook.  No.  She makes everything with a pound of real butter and a cup of salt.  Then she proceeds to cook it all on high.   This makes everything taste, well, not so good.  Now MIL believes she’s a good cook because no one has ever really had the balls to tell her otherwise.  And she does bake well.  Her cookies are pretty awesome.  Oh, and she absolutely will not eat anything I cook.  See, I can cook.  I’m damned good at it.  I’ve learned from working at various high-end restaurants and watching the cooks perform their magic.  I know how to cook steak, ribs, seafood (my scallops are scrumtious, oh yes.  Ask TheMan) and just about everything else.  Except lasagna, because I hate it and won’t do it.  She can’t stand it because TheMan just raves about my food.  Anyway, once I told MIL that she shouldn’t use salt in everything, that other spices work a lot better and add more flavor and that cooking everything on high didn’t accomplish anything but drying out the food.  She was offended and told me she knew what she was doing.  Yup, she freely admits to ruining perfectly good strip steaks.  Bah!   Can’t teach an old dog new tricks as they say.
