Argh! Tagged!

Paula, the minx, tagged me. Man, oh, man. That means I’ll be tagging someone else. And everyone, with the exception of my dear Awaiting better get to it. Understand? Don’t keep me waiting, y’all. It makes me grouchy.

The rules:
1. Add a direct link to your post below the name of the person who tagged you. Include the city/state and country you’re in.

Nicole (Sydney, Australia)
velverse (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
LB (San Giovanni in Marignano, Italy)
Selba (Jakarta, Indonesia)
Olivia (London, England)
ML (Utah, USA)
Lotus (Toronto, Canada)
tanabata (Saitama, Japan)
Andi (Dallas [ish], Texas, United States)
Todd (Louisville, Kentucky, United States)
miss kendra (los angeles, california, u.s.a)
Jiggs Casey (Berkeley, CA, USA! USA! USA!)
Tits McGee (New England, USA)
Kat (Ontario, Canada)
Cheezy (London, England)
Paula (Orange County, California, U.S.)
Jennyjinx (Somewhere, Ohio, U.S.A.)

2. List out your top 5 favorite places to eat at your location.

  1. Rockne’s- because they have got the most bomb-diggity steak sandwiches
  2. The Rootbeer Stand- it’s an old fashioned drive-in sandwich counter which just happens to have some tasty rootbeer floats served in icy mugs. Oh! And the girls bring your food to your car and sit the tray on the driver’s side window. No lie. It’s awesome.
  3. Michael’s- another hole-in-wall diner with the best turkey and swiss on croissants. And they’re so cheap! They’re only open until 2 so it’s breakfast or lunch. Both are usually good. Except when the special is fried baloney sandwiches. Um, yuck to that. Luckily I always get the turkey and swiss.
  4. The Brewhouse- they brew their own beer then use it to make batter for the biggest, sweetest onion rings around. I love beer-battered o-rings. No lie. Also, they beer batter their wings. Holy cow! And you wonder why I’m fat?
  5. Dagwood’s- yet another diner (or deli as they like to call themselves…ha!). There are two convenient locations and the one to the north has the worst service ever. I don’t go to that one. But they make their soups from scratch everyday and have the best pasta salad. I get the turkey and swiss (are you shocked?) or rueben (sans sauer kraut- sorry) and whatever soup they have that day. Better than a fastfood burger any day. Ya know?

3. Tag 5 other people (preferably from other countries/states) and let them know they’ve been tagged.

Awaiting (Mississippi, U.S.A.)
Pink (Mississippi, U.S.A.)
Looney (U.S.A….I think)
Schad (New Jersey, U.S.A.)
Claudia (Georgia, U.S.A.)

The rootbeer stand sounds like a cool place. I love rootbeers. Hehe.. with loads of ice cream :)
The brewhouse sounds like an interesting place although I don’t really fancy beers. I don’t mind giving it a try since you mention they brew their own. Did you just mention onion rings.. Oh Heavenly place. I shall storm in if I am around.

Thanks for sharing such great places to dine with me :) Nice to meet you.

Hi, Velverse and Nicole! Welcome! Oh my, I went to both of your sites and have been properly shamed. My little meme is so lame! Oh well. I admit I’m not very good at this sort of thing. :)
      Paula,

I’m making some tonight. No lie. I can package them up and send them to you. Not sure how week old onions rings would taste, but….:)

Dang gosh nab it!! I leave for a few minutes and come back missing out on all the juicy tidbits!

I swear if I don’t get dsl soon, I am going to run naked in the streets in hopes that I am run over by a radio flyer wagon. Yeah, we roll hard in my hood.

      velverse and Nicole,

I gotta tell you if I keep reading food descriptions I’m going to gain back all of that weight I recently lost. Barbecue and seafood are my faves overall, so I usually cry when I see those- because, you know, barbecue is fattening and seafood isn’t good this far inland.
