McCain on O’Reilly

Bill O’Reilly is at it again, and this time Senator John McCain is joining him in some good, wholesome fear mongering. Check it out, a please pay close attention to the dialogue which begins at 1:36

Now Justin at Donklephant saw this clip on The Democratic Party Blog, which said that McCain agreed with O’Reilly when he said this:

Bill O’Reilly: But do you understand what the New York Times wants, and the far-left want? They want to break down the white, Christian, male power structure, which you’re a part, and so am I, and they want to bring in millions of foreign nationals to basically break down the structure that we have. In that regard, Pat Buchanan is right. So I say you’ve got to cap with a number.

I agree with Justin that it wasn’t evident from the clip (the quoted section is toward the end) that McCain agreed with him about the “white, Christian, male power structure”. No, McCain didn’t disagree or argue with Billy boy about his assertation, but he certainly looked uncomfortable- probably trying to figure out a way to spin this to satisfy his base and not give the Dems something to use against him. Still, both blogs missed the more obvious racist fear tactic by O’Reilly, with which McCain obviously agreed. Remember I said to pay close attention to the dialogue starting at 1:36, which I have transcribed for those who didn’t want to watch:

O’Reilly: [...]this will sink the Republican Party, I believe, - we’d have a one party system - and change, pardon the pun, the whole complexion of America. Am I wrong?

McCain: No. You’re right.

There was nothing else with which McCain could possibly agree at that point in the conversation. He obviously agreed that the illegals will change the complexion of America.

This is something that you will hear from white supremacists- that the brown folk will take away white purity which would then damage America. Google it. Read it. O’Reilly doesn’t say that the illegals will rape white women in an effort to gain power for themselves (though it’s implied in the tape that south-of-the-border illegals raise the crime rate), he’s more subtle than that. But, then, to expect more from Bill O’Reilly you’d have to be smoking some serious crack. Fair and Balanced my fat ass. I’m very disappointed in McCain though. Because, honestly, he either agrees with that ridiculous notion about “white is right” or he didn’t catch what O’Reilly said and just agreed for the hell of it.

I’m also disappointed in the nit-pickers, because, shoot, they picked the wrong nit that time, didn’t they?

To prove my point, I found this comment on Digg:

Bottom line is this: the hispanics in the U.S. have more kids than white America. Period. Mainstream America (and Europe for that matter) has become comfortable and complacent with riches and success, and have decided that 2.1 kids or less is ideal for them. It’s only a matter of time before the culture changes, and the diminishment of white America to a minority will be an entirely self-inflicted “wound” (if you want to be so arrogant as to think of natural change as being a wound.)

Anyone interested about what’s coming should Google an article called “Shift Happens” which outlines this very clearly (Dan Carlin’s latest “Common Sense” podcast is good too). Soon, the number one English speaking nation in the world is going to be CHINA. They already have more high-IQ citizens that North America has citizens. And it’s all due to their numbers. This is going to occur in the Hispanic demographics as well, and there is nothing that can be done about it.

Great post, and a timely reminder of what a flaky vote-whore McCain is. You hit the nail on the head saying he was “probably trying to figure out a way to spin this to satisfy his base and not give the Dems something to use against him.”

Oh yes, and I reckon he’s been like this for most of the past few years. His every thought needs be to thoroughly audited by his market researchers before he has the confidence to give voice to it.

Thus, when he says something like “Osama will follow us home” if we withdraw from Iraq (and he did say this recently), we should never assume that he’s stupid enough to actually believe that Osama’s in Iraq, or that current combat operations in the country preclude the possibility of terrorist attacks in the homeland…

No, he’s not as stupid as that. He’s just a dissembling politician, who is acutely aware of which popular assumptions and myths he needs to adhere to, to stand a chance of being elected.

McCain is completely pulling the wool over. Of course, I’m not going to vote for him anyway, but I was hoping - why, I don’t know - that he’d have a little bit of integrity. Of course, I was disappointed. Unfortunately, the Dems would have had a valid argument, had they caught what I caught. But everyone is so focused on the “white, Christian, male power structure” thing. And McCain didn’t even agree to that!

I haven’t seen anyone that I would cast my vote for out of this time around. I feel like every last one of them is incompetent. Clinton and Obama are huge fucking jokes, in my eyes, and Edwards just seems to soft. None of them are any different from the other side, except they like to pander to liberals instead of conservatives. When it comes right down to it, not a goddamned one gives a flying fuck about ordinary citizens. I say toss the whole lot and nominate some Joe Schmoe off the street. You know?

And if I hear one more time “We’ve got to fight them there so we don’t have to fight them here” I’m going to pull my own hair out by the roots. That’s such fucking bullshit. I guess all those years before Bush we were under constant attack and no one could walk the streets for fear of buildings falling on their heads.

After what I heard about him at the debate, I’m going to pay more attenton to Ron Paul. He’s the only one with the balls to speak the truh about 9-11. Unlike all the other candidates on his side of the aisle, he might actually be a real Republican. It’s been a few decades since we’ve seen one of those.

And yes, every time I hear how Bush must be doing a good job because we haven’t been attacked AGAIN, I think about how Clinton must have been so much better.

Late to the party here, but I agree that they all suck and I really don’t want to vote for any of the top 6.
