You’ve all heard of Lori Drew? She’s the piece of maggot shit that pretended to be a boyfriend to a 13 year-old girl. Her explanation can be found here. She posted to a blog anonymously that Megan Meiers deserved to die because she was such a horrible person. Even after the low-life was outed, she defended herself.
She goes on to say that Megan’s parents "scared" her and that she’s become afraid for her life.
Just like Megan, her parents showed their dark side and scared the holy hell out of me when they dumped our smashed foosball table on our driveway. Instantly I knew we were dealing with unbalanced people. Aggravated by their child’s death and their own culture of anxiety, I very much feared for my family. I made sure to report the incident to the police so the Meiers would know that we would stand up for ourselves and that the police were watching, should they choose to do something rash.
Boo-fucking-hoo. A grown woman, who should have known better, pretended to be a cute teenage boy so that she could destroy a 13 year-old girl and get vengeance for her daughter in the most despicable manner. Then she gets upset because the parents of the child she destroyed became unbalanced? Did she think they should just shake their heads and be done with it? Hell no, this woman should really count herself as lucky. There are plenty of parents in this world that wouldn’t have let her off so easy.
Then the investigation was over. No charges would be filed. We were relieved. It felt like a weight had finally been lifted from us. But not so for Tina & Ron. They had focused their rage on us and blamed us for everything. I could understand their pain and their guilt, but I had had enough of their accusations. One day I did snap and told Tina to "give it a rest." Looking back, it was insensitive to say. But, you have to understand that for months we had been dealing with a family that didn’t want to listen to our side of the story and only called for us to "be gone." Like I said, my sympathy has limits.
After the investigation, Tina made it clear she wasn’t going to let this go. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we had grown to be dismissive of her and her incoherent ranting. Then came the newspaper article, which instantly painted us as hoaxers who were out to make Megan kill herself.
This ignorant bitch had the audacity to tell a grieving mother, whom would not be grieving if it weren’t for her asinine actions, to "give it a rest". Then she goes on to call her incoherent and is upset because someone RIGHTLY called her a hoaxer? She’s safely protected now because the police in her little burg are bound by law to protect her worthless ass from the masses that RIGHTLY think her very existence should be expunged from the Earth. She can say whatever she wants, of course. But I certainly hope her family’s livelihood isn’t dependent on Drew Advantage. If they do plan on feeding their family with that money, they’d better apply for foodstamps right now. No one in their right mind is going to patronize that business anymore. What sensible person believes that a grown woman, a mother herself, should be online pretending to be a boy so that she can crush someone else’s child.
No. She didn’t plan for Megan to commit suicide, but she did intentionally set out to hurt Megan and to cause Megan problems by spreading false information about her. She put herself in the middle of children’s groups online specifically so she could cause emotional and social problems for some other woman’s child. Does she think for one second that any grown person will find that anything other than reprehensible? Shit, I don’t even think reprehensible is a strong enough word. Help me out here someone. This waste of precious resources deserves every bad thing that’s coming to her.
According to Wired, Satan’s Daughter, er, I mean Lori Drew is free to jump back online and harass more children. She’s allowed to spew her bullshit "explanation" freely into the atmosphere, but she’s afraid of what the cyber-world is going to do to her now. She didn’t think that the world would come out against her like this and, of course, blames someone else (in her blog post):

That’s why I started this blog and posted as "Kirsten." I was so angry at the world for being so unfair, especially when it came to my daughter whom I had sworn to protect from all of this. I took a low blow at Megan’s memory because I desperately wanted the world to at least get a glimpse of the truth.
She wanted the world to know the truth, which is that she posed as a teenage boy to gain the trust of a younger teenage girl for the sole purpose of hurting her and ruining her reputation. She says that she was doing it to show Megan’s mom what Megan was up to, but why couldn’t she pretend to be a young girl who was befriending Megan? Because a young boy would grab Megan’s heart and would make it easier to hurt her. Lori Drew is a DUMB piece of shit, for sure, but she’s DEVIOUS enough to teach her own children how to ruin the lives of young kids and their families. And she REALLY believes that there are people in this world that are as DIRTY as she is. No, Lori, some of teach our children how to handle bad situations like adults instead of getting in the shit right along with them
No doubt Lori Drew is the kind of mother who throw sand in a toddler’s face to settle a playground dispute. Why she thinks people wouldn’t want to see her get exactly what she gave is beyond me. But then she’s a cowardly bully, so it’s no wonder when she gets the shit she starts crying and groveling.

Lori and Curt Drew have had their address and work, home and cell phone numbers posted on the Internet. One site showed a satellite photo of their home. A fake MySpace page was created for Curt Drew.
Banas said some of these actions against the Drews could constitute Internet stalking.
In addition, the Drews home has been vandalized.
"Because we can’t prosecute somebody it certainly does not justify violating the law," Banas said. "We live in this country by the rule of the law."
Except wasn’t that what Lori Drew was doing? Stalking and harassing via the Internet? She basically admitted to it on her Blogger blog. She intended to harm Megan and approached her with that mindset. Vandalizing her house? I’m pretty damned sure that didn’t happen over the Internet. Lori Drew needs to wonder what she’s done to make the residents of her very own town hate her. I’m pretty sure no one needs to log on to find those folks.
For some reason because the local Barney Fife stood up for Mrs. Not-Fit-To-Mother-A-Rat Drew she thinks she’s safe. Sorry, Dimwit. Don’t forget Wrongful Death. I hope and pray that the Meiers get everything you own and leave you begging in the gutter like the cheap whore you are.

OMG! Does Slime-Mom think “her side of the story” paints her in a good light? What a maroon. Unfuckingbelievable, really. But then again not. We had our own “Lori” right in our neighborhood, a nutso, no-life mom who micro-managed her daughter’s friendships and thought it was cool to harass my daughter, including pounding on our door when Jeff and I weren’t home, because D didn’t want to be friends with Lori’s daughter. And, you know, they TELL you to do that, all the parenting guides. Be super-involved, know your kids friends, hover, snoop, whatever it takes, because GOD FORBID THEY SHOULD SMOKE A JOINT OR HAVE A BEER. Anyway, Lori Drew is a piece of shit for sure, but IMO her behavior is on a continuum (the far end, yes) of this bullshit child-rearing philosophy that’s been shoved in our faces for the past 20 years or more. Unfortunately, what she didn’t wasn’t against the law when she did it. It is now in that community. What amazes me most is that this woman is surprised at the backlash. Let’s assume for a moment that there was no way she could have known this teenager was depressed and might commit suicide. How can any grow person justify manipulating a child’s emotions that way? Just how was she “protecting her daughter” in harrassing someone on the internet?
And then to go on and criticize the poor girl’s parents, as if SHE’S the one that is aggrieved? As if the pain of a parent having to BURY THEIR CHILD is somehow less than the inconveniences she’s dealing with AS A RESULT OF HER OWN ACTIONS? The gall of some people never ceases to amaze me.
She’s lucky the worst that has happened is that her house was vandalized.

She admitted that she knew Megan was ill. Her main concern, though, was that Megan and her friends were going to start rumors about her daughter, and Lori wanted to teach Megan a “lesson”. Interesting thing is that Megan and Sarah didn’t go to the same school and now Sarah had to be pulled out of school because of harassment.

As I just commented there, I think the name of the blog says it all. If I were this woman’s daughter, I would change my name the second I moved away from home and never look back.
Apparently the police have reopened the investigation based on that blog. So, whoever started it will finally be busted. Stupid cow deserves everything she gets even if she didn’t start that blog. Who in their right mind would torment a child that way?

This is the first I’ve heard of this story, and I am deeply saddened, appalled, angered, and at a loss for words, just speechless.
I have no clue whether Lori Drew is liable for Megan’s death in legal terms; but I think when people treat others with such cruelty, they will get it in return.

True, this is a terrible thing to do to a sick child, but honestly, who lets a mentally ill 13 year old girl get a “myspace”? Part of the blame goes to the parents as well. That’s the problem these days; parents pass the buck(blame) as fast as they can with no one willing to assume the blame. She shouldn’t have had a site in the first place and her parents should’ve realized if she was ill, the last thing the girl needed was exposure on the level of a social network that is full of people who aren’t who they claim to be. A myspace boyfriend, give me a break. There is a reason those sites have age limits. If you are a parent and care for you children, monitor them somehow, go online with them and warn them about how dangerous the web truly is. I’m not proposing being over their shoulder every time they get on their computer, but have at least some control of your household and take responsibility for your actions, or lack thereof. I know many will disagree with this view and criticize this entry for not placing enough blame on Lori Drew but I believe everyone else has said all there is to say about her and I’m just adding a different perspective. I will no longer check this site.

Going with this same train of thought, if a young girl is approached by a grown man on MySpace, convinced to meet him and ultimately dies, then that’s the girl’s parents fault for allowing her on MySpace?
Lori Drew was 47 years old when she pretended to be a boy to gain Megan’s trust. She knew better. She’s a stinking piece of crap for stooping to that level. Not only has she ruined the lives of the Meiers family, but the lives of her own family as well. Her own daughter is shunned at school because of what Lori did. That’s her fault. Her husband lost his job and their business is going under.
That’s Lori’s fault. Because she acted in a way that our society finds abhorrent. She is demented for what she’s done to that girl- who’s mother does not shoulder any blame. Mrs. Meiers was naive in trusting that her daughter would be safe on MySpace. Lori Drew was like a snake- slithering in under another mother’s nose and striking a sick, innocent child.
I see that you’re a university student. I hope that when you mature you’ll not find pulling this sort of “prank” (and I say that loosely) against children to be acceptable. I hope that you’ll never find the need to taunt and harass a child that is 30 years younger than yourself to be a fun little game. I hope that when you have your own children that you are responsible enough to teach them how to handle their own problems in a way that won’t cause someone else so much psychological harm that they feel the need to kill themselves.
As it is, Mrs. Meiers suffers everyday from the loss of her child. Lori Drew doesn’t suffer at all. In fact, the cow thinks that what she did to that little girl was completely normal. Screw her.

Welcome to you too. This woman is horrible and I’m glad that the global community sees it the same way. She might not get punished by the legal system, but the community at large will make sure she is punished by shunning her, forcing her to move, and generally making her life miserable.
There is a special place in hell for Lori Drew. It has mirrors on the walls, the floors, and the ceilings and that fat, psycopathic, bitch will have to look at her own repulsive reflection for all of eternity and if you’ve seen her pictures that’s going to be a long, long time.
I totally agree that the Drew family deserves all negative comments that they are recieving online. Just because our outdated justice system can find her guilty, doesn’t mean she isn’t responsible for this poor girl’s death. Telling a suicidal teenager to go kill herself is no different than walking over to her house and shooting her.
While the Megan Meier case seems outrageous and unique, it isn’t unique. Hundreds of cases of egregious and heinous acts go on every day with the same excuses out of our lawmakers.
One such other case….The case of Nikki Catsouras, is a classic example of disgusting, hateful activity against innocent victims, while our lawmakers excuse themselves from enacting laws to prevent this.
The excuse lawmakers use to let themselves off the hook stem from the growth of the Internet and how fast it’s changing. This is a sham.
Chat rooms, message boards, instant messengers and email have been in existence for far over a decade now. While the software used to transmit messages changes slightly, the basic essence of using the Internet to send a message is largely the same. Is a decade or two long enough to establish some basic decency laws in regards to Internet usage?
I’ve posted the Nikki Catsouras story along with many details about the Megan Meier case so the inactivity out of our lawmakers towards these types of cases can be clearly seen.

Public awareness of the problem and discussions about possible solutions are the best way to pressure elected officials into action instead of excuse making.
