Here in the House of Jinx things are kind of hairy. Lots of stress, lots of emergencies, and general mayhem all around.
So, I’m slacking in the blog department. This is what I do when real life gets to the point where a nice gallon (or two) of tequila is needed to bring me relief (I really don’t need the lime, thanks). I thought about blogging all my tears away and quickly got over it. There are way too many reformed Jinxites that are hoping and praying for ill things to befall me. No really. It’s hard to believe, but some people just don’t like me. I don’t know why.
In other news, I’ve dropped my web scripting class. That professor makes the “Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?” guy seem hot and exciting. Plus the life thing got in the way. Any excuse is better than none, huh?
I haven’t dropped math, though. ‘Cause, you know, “math” is hot. Even old ladies like me need a little ogle time every so often. Plus I think I’m actually learning something this semester. Must be those jeans, er, I mean, the different way of teaching.
Also, I was going to do this long and involved post about the current Democratic candidates and the left blogosphere’s split right down the middle. But I don’t have the time. So, I’m going to shorten it up and put that bit of goodness right here- officially making this post a puddle of muck. So…
If I hear one more person say that they don’t trust Obama because of his lack of experience I really think I’ll go back to hexing folks. For real, yo. Why? Well, let’s look at some figures here…
George W. Bush (mwahahahha!!!) had zero experience in Washington.
Bill Clinton had zero experience in Washington.
Ronald Reagan (The God™ of the Right™) had zero experience in Washington.
Dwight Eisenhower had zero experience in Washington.
George Washington had zero experience in Washington.12
(Some would say that Abraham Lincoln had none, but they are WRONG and can’t properly research squat.)
Do you get the point here people? Do YOU?
Please stop with the lack of experience meme. It’s tired. K?
Also, I would like to take this time to announce that I’m backing Christopher Walken for President. Again.

Good choice. Anybody who is comfortable enough with his manhood to dance with Travolta in drag is OK by me. I’d vote for him - but I’m Canadian.
You realize that the list you printed is the perfect reason NOT to elect Obama. Bush (both of them) = bad president. Eisenhower = lazy do nothing president. Reagan = bad for the country (for all conservatives love him, he racked up a HUGE deficit trying to outspend the USSR). Clinton was reasonable successfull and Washington doesn’t count because the Captial was in NYC at the time.
So maybe we SHOULD elect a president with expereince in Washington, or at least politics. Which is my real beef with Obama. Not the lack of experience, but the lack of seniority. He’s got little clout in Washington. Look at Kennedy’s effectiveness. Very charismatic leader. Got very little actually accomplished since Congress resented him and his bunch of Ivy League snot nosed kids telling them what to do. It was LBJ that had the seniority in Congress to get things done.
That’s my history lesson for the day.
I can’t see why people wouldn’t like you either. What’s not to like? However, my philosophy has always been that if you don’t like me, then too fucking bad for you. I’m going to go on doing what I want and completely ignore the haters. Or better yet, antagonize the haters. So blog those tears if you so desire. Or have another margarita.
My sympathies on the hairy home thing. Maybe you need a new vacuum cleaner — one that sucks up people and deposits them in an alternate universe? Jaykay. As far as the candidates for POTUS, just give me a barf bag.
I enjoyed this post. This election period has been quite a different one. Yet some things always remain the same, eh?
BTW - I love the images of those creatures in your header.
Blessings,
Karla
Erica,
Exactly! I’m sick of these president’s that are all “Oooh! We’re not in a recession! And WAR, WAR, WAR!”. We need someone who can party!
sydwynd,
OMG! Did you not read my footnotes? How could you miss them? They are the most bomb-diggity thing about that whole post!
Also, I’m voting for Christopher Walken. You should check out the post I linked to under “Again”. Here I’ll post is again (mwahahaha!!)

Miz UV,
I’ll be doing a post on my vacuum phobia soon. Oh yes. Count on it.
Karla
Thanks for stopping by and for the compliments. I appreciate them.
Christopher Walken would make an awesome president. I mean, wasn’t he in a Moby video or something? That was so cool! I bet Hillary can’t be cool like that.
