Inner Life of a Cell

I was doing some research tonight1 and ran across an interesting video. It’s a Harvard animation of what happens inside a cell. It’s actually called “Inner Life of a Cell”. At any rate, apparently the Discovery Institute people2, aka Creationists, have helped themselves to this video and have put it into one of their ID3 movies- with some tweaks and minor changes natch Because Miz UV made me like that word. Also, they’ve apparently renamed it “The Cell as an Animated City”.

Before you roll your eyes and avoid the video, it’s set to some nice music (Safe For Work) and is really fascinating. I really enjoyed watching this. I seriously forgot it was science and/or educational.

Snagged from ERV with much thanks.

Also see Pharyngula for clarification about those crazy IDers and copyright kinda-theft.

Also see here for what really happens when Creationists get together and alcohol is involved.

Well of course it’s intelligent design - way beyond anything humans will ever figure out. And just in case we do, The Source will simply give us the booby prize of “Congratulations! Now enjoy your Apocalypse whilst I head off to start over on another world!”

The preceding was a clip from my forthcoming novel “God is an Existentialist”

Please nobody say “He said booby.”
