Well, well, well Updated x Deux

Hillary Clinton hasn’t quite conceded her loss, but she’s stepping aside and letting Obama have the nomination.

Clinton’s people say that she’ll announce her intentions tonight, but that she’s not “officially” leaving the race or “officially” stepping aside. She has apparently sent most of her people home. And, yes, she’s still vying for a VP slot- or something equally as tasty.

The former first lady will stop short of formally suspending or ending her race in her speech in New York City.

She will pledge to continue to speak out on issues like health care. But for all intents and purposes, the two senior officials said, the campaign is over.

Most campaign staff will be let go and will be paid through June 15, said the officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to divulge her plans.

The advisers said Clinton has made a strategic decision to not formally end her campaign, giving her leverage to negotiate with Obama on various matters including a possible vice presidential nomination for her. She also wants to press him on issues he should focus on in the fall, such as health care.

Now, can we get on with pounding the shit out of McNasty? Please?

She’s angling to get her name used as slang for cancer. “McCain was struck with an incurable case of skin Hillary”

It would make good sense for Obama to make her VP as together they would prove a very tight team with a wide reach, but of course if you get Hill you also get Bill and i can’t see him being happy to be relegated to the VP’s husband.

I really wish she’d stay in the Senate. I think that Senator Clinton would make a kick-ass majority leader.
